Multi Factor Authentication

The provision and support of secure connectivity to internal systems from outside of the WCC school's network for access to MIS systems and school's internal documents on school servers

Service Specification

What's included


  • An experienced Technical Support Team provides support for issues with enrolling users into the system.

  • Secure access to school's internal systems using Windows terminal server integrated with multi factor authentication.

  • Support for fully managed devices connecting from home to the multi factor platform.

  • Daily monitoring of resources of the infrastructure to maintain connectivity through the network.

  • Enabling new users on the system at the request of the school's head teacher.

  • Planned maintenance for the infrastructure to prevent connectivity disruption.


What's not included


  • Support on 3rd party (non-managed) devices


Customer responsibilities


  • To have appropriate information readily available for the Service Desk Operator relating to the fault/issue.

  • Use of a mobile phone with the Microsoft authenticator app or a mobile / landline number to use for multi factor authentication enrolment.

  • To follow the enrolment documentation sent to new users that sign up to the system.

  • To provide a named site contact, complete with all contact details, and any site requirements for each call logged.

  • Ensure that supported devices are connected to the Warwickshire Broadband Network, or other appropriate network and are available for a remote support session.
