NAO an amazing humanoid robot leads the learning - inspiring students to build and program - bringing robotics to life.
With robot challenges and robot races the days can be developed to meet the needs of the school - catering for multiple classes across the day or a more intensive whole day event. We will bring ALL the robots, laptops, iPads, etc.
You can choose to use one of the following products on your day:
WeDo - Sessions can be developed for Year 1 through to Year 6
WeDo is a fantastic, simple-to-use cross-curricular tool that enables pupils to learn, construct and then bring their models to life using intuitive drag-and drop software. An ideal product for teaching computing but it also brings great value in different subjects as it can be applied to language and literacy, maths, science and design technology-based subjects.
As pupils gain in confidence they can develop programs that make use of sensors, developing their use of programming. The sessions also allow pupils to develop and improve different communication, collaboration and team building skills.
Mindstorms - Sessions can be developed for Year 4 through to Year 11
We love getting messy with Mindstorms. We will get your pupils building creatively, developing flexible programming skills and becoming real-life problem solvers. The session will also help you to engage your students in computer science, science, technology, engineering and maths.
Pupils take ownership of the learning process, enabling them to actively develop the problem-solving skills and collaborative outlook necessary to become creators, not just consumers.
Learning Days - The Drones are Here!
SAS subscribers: £525
Non SAS subscribers : £655
Coding or programming is a key area of the Computing Curriculum. Whilst there are many good coding apps available to schools, the best coding experiences include the opportunity to control physical devices. This allows pupils to see the cause and effect of their coding and to appreciate how variables in the physical world change the behaviour of the devices they are programming.
Our fantastic new ‘Day of the Drone’ Learning Day provides opportunities for your pupils to program both land and aerial mini drones. All the programming is done on iPads using the excellent Tickle and Tynker apps (similar to Scratch).
Day of the Drone days are suitable for pupils in Year 1 through to Year 9 and are tailored to meet the needs of your school. All days include small group work, focused tasks and exciting challenges.
We bring all of the drones, iPads and other resources for the day. You just need to provide a suitable large indoor space and some really excited participants!
